The Bianca Rae Foundation is excited to have held its first ever Rae Of Hope Retreat For Boys.
For the last four years, more than 1000 middle school girls had a chance to learn how to be their best selves, and now the Bianca Rae Foundation offers the opportunity for little boys. Middle school boys from all over the Coachella Valley spent the day learning about leadership, anti-bullying, sportsmanship, and social media smarts. They attended breakout groups lead by inspirational men of the desert, such as the co-founder of Brandini Toffee, Brandon Weimer, and the Palm Springs Police Chief, Brian Reyes. The boys had a chance to attend a fun session about a topic of their choice, such as science, media, and basketball. In the science group, they learned how to make airplanes, in media, they learned the ins and outs of the media culture, and in the various sports groups, they were able to practice their favorite sports with professional athletes.
Sometimes boys are expected by society to be strong and tough, when they actually need guidance on how to deal with bullies and low self-esteem as well. The Bianca Rae Foundation believes in providing guidance for all children to be their best selves.
